Why the iPad Can't Use Flash
Daniel Dilger goes through exactly why Flash just won’t work on a touchscreen device. I mentioned this a little while back–it’s totally unreasonable to think that applications and games developed for a mouse and keyboard can be easily ported to a completely new interface.

This is BS.
The same can be said for lots of HTML5 apps. Google Maps for example, on the desktop you can draw directions on the map but on iPhone you can’t because dragging on the map scrolls the map. Yahoo mail. On the desktop you can right click for a context menu. On iPhone there’s no such thing as right click.
The point is, Flash, like HTML5, is just a platform. It’s up to the developers to use that platform to match the user’s system. HTML5 or Flash, neither does this better or worse than the other but Flash does provide a much better authoring environment for rich content than almost all HTML tools.
